HOW DO I CHOOSE A PHOTOGRAPHY COURSE?

Our courses are suitable for a range of photographic experience and ability. With small groups and individual help,  we can accommodate a range of photographic skill , interest or  experience. You will need your own digital camera but computers are provided. for these courses.

  • Choose a course  title  based on your photographic experience, interest and camera type
  • Contact PM-iMAGES to check availability at:  messages@pm-images.co.uk                                                                or     phone 01780 410078
  • You will be sent the course outline  and a booking form by e-mail, or post..
  • Please return the completed booking form and your course fee to secure your place.
  • We then send details including the final programme, what you will need, and travel information.

BOOKING A COURSE AS A PRESENT

You can wish to book a specific course and date as a present for someone, we will provide a  Gift Gertificate for you to give as your present.

Alternatively if you do not wish to select a specific course and date,  you can purchase  a Gift Certificate valid for any of the Little Bytham, Nene Valley Railway, Stamford, or Tuxford windmill courses. Please e-mail for details at:  messages@pm-images.co.uk  or     phone 01780 410078

IMPROVE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY- TAKING BETTER PICTURES

We will show you how to set up your camera, improve composition and find out how to take better pictures in the most common everyday situations.

Any digital camera may be used on this course including compact , Super Zoom (bridge) camera or a digital SLR.

THEMED COURSES

PEOPLE AND PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY( DAY COURSE)

Learn to take pictures of people in a variety of situations and be shown how to take both posed and candid styles of photographs. You will also experiment with composition and lighting indoors and outdoors, using available light and artificial light. A step by step approach and small groups will ensure you get the most from your day.

Any digital camera can be used on this course including compact , Super Zoom (bridge camera) or SLR. However users of more advanced digital cameras such as super zooms and SLR cameras will get the most from this  photography course.

How to book

 CREATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY - GET MORE FROM YOUR CAMERA  (DAY COURSE)

During the day we will use some of the more creative  features of your camera  to explore the artistry in photography. This course will make the most of  colour and form of everyday subjects. We show you how to approach our photography in a more systematic way and develop a better photographic eye for composition and lighting, using some simple studio techniques to develop your skills.Some more advanced compact cameras will  be suitable for this course  but digital Super Zoom (bridge) camera or  digital SLR camera will help you to get the most from this course.

Tuxford Windmill is a working mill in Nottinghamshire and is an excellent subject for improving your photographic skills and getting more from your digital camera!

An introduction to garden  photography at Sheffield Botanical Gardens covering the topics of garden landscapes, plant portraits and introducing close-up detail and "garden cameo" shots, making the most of Sheffield Botanical Gardens.

Any camera can be used on this course,  however users of more advanced compact cameras  Super zoom (bridge) cameras and digital SLR cameras will get the most from this  course.

PHOTOGRAPHY AT EASTON WALLED GARDENS       ( AFTERNOON 1-4PM)

A choice of  seasonal half day garden photography courses run as part of the Royal Horticultural Society 2010 events programme  held at Easton Walled Gardens, near Grantham Lincolnshire.

The walled gardens cover over 12 acres ,including natural and formal planting. Photographers will be shown to take garden landscape, plant portrait and close-up pictures in an inspirational setting.   

Any digital camera can be used on this course including compact , Super Zoom (bridge camera) or SLR. Film cameras can also be used on this course.

COMPUTERS AND PHOTOGRAPHY

BEGINNERS DIGITAL ORGANISING AND EDITING- STAMFORD PHOTO EXPRESS

A self contained EVENING session  for beginners in digital photography. The course covers getting images from camera into the computer, organising  your images  on the computer, We look at simple images corrections and how to prepare them for printing.

Lots of tips, special offers on equipment , with step by step hand-outs for your own use at home.

 Sessions are 2 hours,   MEET AT 4.30   Course duration  4.45 - 6.45pm
