PHOTOGRAPHY BOOKINGS

Our courses are suitable for a range of photographic experience and ability. Courses are also divided for different digital camera users - These are colour coded (see right for more information)  as follows as course for any digital camera and for  Bridge Camera, Compact System Camera and SLR camera

++Please note that camera phones or tablet/ipad cameras are NOT suitable for any of our courses++

 With small groups and individual help,  we can accommodate a range of photographic skill , interest or  experience. You will need your own digital camera but computers are provided for most courses.

 Computer Basics for Digital Photographers-  Absolute Beginners (Half day 10.00 - 12.30pm)

Taken the pictures – now what about that computer and how do I use it?  This 2 ½ hr short course will help digital photographers to learn the most important basic computer routines.

Laptops provided to explain transfer, organising and editing your images with free PICASA

GENERAL BEGINNERS PHOTOGRAPHY COURSES - LITTLE BYTHAM

 NEW                   Beginners Digital Photography        Any Camera   ( Day course )
Escape from “Auto” mode and make friends with your digital camera. This practical course will take your through the important digital photography basics including how to set up your camera and then use the best modes for a variety of “everyday” situations.

A one day course to show you how to set up and use your more advanced bridge, CCS or SLR camera more confidently in the most common everyday situations. Get more from you camera and learn how to use Program (P) and Aperture (A or Av )modes.

A one day course to show you how to set up and use your camera on a day out or on holiday, with lots of tips for dealing with demanding  photographic situations!

Nene Valley Railway - Steam Working Day -  Nr Peterborough   Any Camera   (Day Course)

A wonderful opportunity for railway photography on a steam working  day based at Wansford station.

Any camera can be used on this course  although more advanced Super Zoom (bridge camera) CSC and SLR camera users will probably get the most from this course.

  This is an ideal course for  Bridge camera, CSC, and SLR camera users who want to make pictorial records of railway items for historical or personal use  or for those wanting to develop their close-up photography techniques. Learn how to take pictures to capture close up detail of a range of railway related subjects and then apply these techniques at other locations at Wansford Station.

Get more from your Digital Camera  is designed for users of more advanced “bridge” cameras and SLR cameras find out how to set-up and then use your camera more creatively in Programme mode and Aperture mode in a variety of situations

We use a proven “step by step” approach to give you more confidence in taking pictures, and provide summary handouts for each practical session. Begins 9.45am and  finishes  4.00pm

To book a course for yourself is in three easy steps

  1. Choose a course title and date from the list below
  2. Check there is space on the course  and  to request a booking form by e-mail  to messages@pm-images.co.uk
  3. Send the booking form and payment  to secure your place (s)

 We send you confirmation of your place(s) and  e-mail "Joining information" including the day programme, what you need and detailed travel directions to the venue.

 

giving A COURSE AS A PRESENT

You are welcome  to book a  SPECIFIC course and DATE as a present for someone for a Birthday, Christmas, Retirement or other special event. Contact us by e-mail  to request a booking form.

On receipt of your booking on their behalf, we can e-mail a gift certificate and course information for you to give as your present. Alternatively a laminated gift certificate and printed course information can be posted to you for a small additional charge(£3)

NOTE;  For postal gift certificates please allow at least 7days from us receiving your booking to ensure you receive the gift certificate and information in time.

To avoid disappointment it is wise to allow more than this leading up to the  Christmas and the New Year holidays.

WHAT CAMERA?

These are  three common types of digital camera.

COMPACT CAMERA

Small digital cameras usually without a viewfinder, only a screen

BRIDGE CAMERA

These super zooms have 15x zoom and an eypiece viewfinder.

SLR CAMERA  and CSC

Compact System Camera You can change lenses on these types of camera and add a more powerful  flash and add other camera  accessories.
